About this event

Nutrition has a direct impact on our mental health and is connected in so many ways. With the new school year ahead, we want our students to be able to show up strong mentally and physically - good nutrition will play a key part in that.

For this session, we will be joined again by Lalitha Taylor, RD who will speak about how to create nutritious lunches and snacks in an economical way. Lalitha has worked extensively with youth and youth athletes in her career and hears a lot about the common challenges they face today when it comes to nutrition. Part of this presentation will speak to dispelling common myths around nutrition currently in popular culture.

Lalitha Taylor, is a University of Alberta alumna and an award-winning dietitian. Based in Edmonton Alberta, Lalitha has been practicing as a dietitian for 15 years. She has a diverse dietetic background with dynamic communications skills which has allowed her to engage in various media outlets including her former role as a National Spokesperson for Dietitians of Canada.
